What is the MIBB?

 

Founded in 2007, the Michigan Israel Business Bridge ("MIBB") is a non-profit membership organization that facilitates business development, technical collaboration and operational collaboration between growing Michigan and Israel companies of all sizes, governmental entities, and academic institutions, thereby enabling participating companies to accelerate and enhance their marketing and sales efforts, R&D projects, capital raising activities, talent acquisition programs, and facility and supplier identification initiatives.

Accomplishments

 

During its short existence, MIBB has Some of its accomplishments include:

 

  • Conducting three Missions to Israel, with participants including Michigan's Governor Jennifer Granholm and business and non-profit leaders representing business incubators and economic development organizations
  • Planning and hosting two Michigan -  Israel Automotive Partnering Events, resulting in business development opportunities
  • Facilitating multiple visits to Michigan by Israeli companies, providing targeted matchmaking services to catalyze partnerships
  • Organizing and promoting business networking meetings in Michigan attended by hundreds of participants around timely topics such as "Creating a New Global Energy Infrastructure", "High-Tech Innovations in a hospital environment", and "Doing Business in Israel -- Challenges and Opportunities"
  • Introducing Michigan medical device companies to clinical trial opportunities in Israel
